The emphasis at this camp will be on ways to find more speed in your
slalom technique. During the day we will have two paddling sessions
in small groups (no more than four) experimenting with new ways to find
extra speed in the gates. There will be a midday video session to

Dec. 20-21 - Junior Slalom Racers Weekend
A full weekend of technical coaching and training with the emphasis on
slalom skills for junior racers. The weekend includes four coached
sessions (two flat water, two whitewater), two video sessions and
Saturday night Pizza. This weekend is for all juniors who are looking
to improve Slalom technique and racing skills. Cost - $95 Canadian

Dec. 26-30 - XMAS Training Camp
For advanced level slalom paddlers with Class IV experience and team slot
and/or medal aspirations.
Coach: Cathy Hearn (2x Olympian, 1997 World Championship Bronze Medalist)
Workouts will be held on the Feeder Canal and Dickerson. Participants must
be BCE members and bring valid BCE card to all sessions in order to access

Schedule includes 1-2 sessions/day on the water, with at least 1/3 at
Dickerson, and 1-2 afternoons off. Off-water sessions will include video
analysis, training and technique theory, flexibility and mobility exercises
and the psychology of slalom high-performance.
